Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site

Located 15 miles north of Fairview on Highways 58 and 1804. The National Park Service has reconstructed portions of Fort Union Trading Post to depict the authentic setting for the site of John Jacob Astor’s American Fur Company built in 1829. A lavish Bourgeois House dominates the setting and contains museum exhibits and administrative facilities. Other colorful wayside exhibits dot the fort grounds.
